See below for the blurb and nomination form link for the McDonalds Junior Coach of the Year with nominations open until July 7.
There are a large number of junior female coaches out there doing excellent work on the pitch for our youngsters and we’re keen to see as many of those recognised for their efforts along with their male counterparts.
Please have a think about any fitting female nominees in your club and put their names in the hat – there are some excellent prizes on offer as well!
HELP YOUR CHILD’S COACH WIN A TRIP TO THE CLUB WORLD CUP!
As part of McDonald’s Junior Football this year New Zealand Football and McDonald’s are celebrating the 6000+ volunteer coaches, who help 50,000 Kiwi kids enjoy football each season. The McDonald’s Junior Football Coach of the Year is a nationwide search for New Zealand’s most deserving junior coach.
Parents around the country are being encouraged to nominate the coach of their child’s team.
Nominations are encouraged for positive behaviour both on and off the pitch, including supporting players positively from the touch line, introducing new players to the game and helping out in their local community.
There are some great prizes up for grabs including coaching packs, Nike apparel packs and one overall winner who will receive a trip of a life time to Abu Dhabi to see Auckland City compete in the Club World Cup.
Nominations can be made before July 7 by visiting www.nzfootball.co.nz/coach-of-the-year and completing the nomination form.
The coach of the year competition is a new part of the ongoing support McDonald’s provides to junior football in New Zealand and helps provide resources to encourage more kids and parents to get involved with football.
We know there are some great junior coaches in our club, so get your nomination in today!
