Senior Reserves continue winning form

This weekend saw the continuation of some fantastic football played by the BMAFC Senior reserves. Against a youthful and buoyant Three Kings team, BMAFC set the pace from the outset and quickly dominated procession and field position. With 6 players being unavailable due to injury, a shuffled team line up structured themselves early and put some great football touches together to put Ross Murphy in front of goal to start the scoring. Paul Startin's hard work up front with striking partner Ben Whittingham soon resulted in a penalty been awarded inside the box, with skipper Justin Irvine converting to take the lead to 2-0. The football feast continued throughout the half and Mark Laidlaw slotted what can only be described as a Midas touch into the back of the net to finish the half with BMAFC 3-0 up. The second half saw roughly 83 chances on goal, with player of the day Ben Whittingham missing most of them, but his support play and energy up front was outstanding. Mark Laidlaw managed to sneak a solitary goal in for the final 4-0 scoreline. Many believing that this is a direct result of his ball hogging techniques in midfield.....
This week coming see's BMAFC Senior reserves play the 4th home game in a row against Clendon at 2.45pm.
