Streets MiniLeague Update - May 2011
Saturday, 14 May 2011 09:32
Just a quick note, I hope you all are having success with the "First Kicks" format, I have had some very positive feedback from some of you and I look forward to meeting up with you all to iron out any issues. I would like to make a couple of points though from what I have seen.
- Please make sure you study the training drills before you come down as this will help you understand them a little quicker
- Can you please encourage a parent or 2 to help out where needed ie if a child has to run to a certain cone have a parent standing there to call them, as when they here their voice hopefully...... they will gravitate to where they are meant to be heading, you cannot be in all places at the same time, some mornings we will have extra bodies and some we wont, so good to get a parent or 2 involved
- Please stick to the exercises set out, some of you are starting to do your own thing, NZ Football has won an award for this programme so I think they have got it right!
- For the time being I will continue to set out the areas until you are all confident and can do so quickly, it takes me 30 - 40 mins to set up and I know what Im doing
- Please encourage your kids parents to be there by 7.30 so when the horn blows @ 7.45 so we can rip into it (My wife is also guilty of turning up right on time with my Daughter), last week we only had half the teams ready to go @ 7.45
- Cancellations – Robyn, Simon, myself will make a call @ 6.30 if it is cancelled, as you can see from last Saturday the grounds drain exceptionally well, sounless you hear otherwise its on.
Apart from that guys things I think are going really well, keep up the good work and thanks for all your efforts so far!
