Glass left on the fields at Te Puru

Having a good walk around all the fields I had to spend some time picking up green glass from in the grass on the sidelines of one pitch. Unfortunately, the tractor beat me to it this week and they don't stop to pick up litter, (yes, they should and I will ask again for some common sense to prevail on sports fields..).

Normally it's plastic bottles I pick up, which are bad enough if they have been cut up, but glass is a real problem. Please remind all players and parents to pick up all litter, check for bottles left lying around, particularly if last to leave an area, and check where the visiting teams have been.

It's our fields and our kids likely to be hurt...

Please also remember the nets if you're last oin the field - flags and nets were left out on Saturday on of the Junior fields.
