AUT to Study Sideline Behaviour

Hi All,

Please see below for a link to details of a study being undertaken in the Auckland region regarding sideline behaviour in football, netball and rugby.

As it explains in the attachment: Researchers from AUT University will randomly attend a number of games during the season to observe the sideline behaviour of coaches and parents. Please be assured that no identifying data will be recorded relating to the behaviour observed, either of clubs or individuals. The purpose of the research is to compare behaviour across three sports: rugby, football, and netball.

See please be advised that your club MIGHT be observed in the near future.

You can contact Simon Walters (details in letter below) in the first instance or Kelly Bolus in the Auckland Football office – This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it - if you have any questions or objections to your club being involved.

Cheers,

Steven Upfold
Communications and Administration Manager
Auckland Football Federation
