11th Grade Stormers v Bucklands Beach

Venue: Te Puru
The Deckreation Stormers first game at Te Puru was a success. The supporters were plentiful and loud and proud. All 10 boys turned up. The game started late as our pitch had no goal posts.
Bucklands Beach Wearing were the opposition. With posts and nets eventually set up the boys settled into a fairly even first half. Some solid defence from Jarrod "The Rock", Steven and Jakob "The Wall" left Rory with little to do in goal. The midfield got some good ball forward that eventually saw Matthew strike again. In the second half Finn, Lachlan, Liam and Kharn all managed shots on goal but to no avail. Regrettably a defensive slip let Bucklands equalise. The game ended with our boys defending well but no more scoring. Another 1 – 1 draw. On the positive side we are still undefeated like the All Whites in the World Cup. The boy's fitness in the end was the letdown. Something to work on. Player of the Day was Matthew and Coaches Award went to Jakob "The Wall".
