11th Grade Orcas v Eastern Suburbs (Duder)
It was a nice sunny day at Glover Park.It was our first game in first division,we were ready but not quite ready. We thought we had these girls but then the whistle went, they got the ball and took it down the line and crossed it into the middle and woof they scored. We all were shocked and we didn't know what had hit us.
They were good. Wow Eastern Suburbs what a team. We could beat them if we tried really hard.Once they got the ball off us we would run straight to goal side. But sometimes we didn't get there fast enough and it was up to Brooke or Kristy who both had awesome saves but then went the half time whistle. We all walked off with our heads down and the score at the moment is 5-0.
We had to try harder,we have had some oranges and water and ran back on the field with more energy. Now we have the two pocket rockets on the field Anna and Laura, Kristy is in goal, me (Danielle) on the left wing and Brooke is up front. By that point in the game we were all covered in mud. Brooke and I are the muddiest.
I get called off the field to have a breather... then yes there is an opening Joyce and Brooke are running down the line then Brooke passes to Joyce and she scores! We were all screaming with happiness, now there is only a few minites left in the game and I (Danielle) get put back on the field. We were trying our hardest even though our boots are full of mud and the final whistle goes, the final score is 9-1 to them but at least we tried our hardest.
The Battler of the Day for our team is Magda and the Player of the Day is me(Danielle). BUT BE WARNED THE FALLEN WILL RISE AGAIN! By Danielle Grimmer
