11th Grade Orcas v Bay Olympic

Venue: Beachlands Domain

The predicted end of the world at 10am this Saturday didn't happen, lucky for us as we had an 11am kick off. On a wet and soggy Beachlands domain (with big girl goals) the yet to be beaten BMAFC 11TH Grade Orcas continued their form with a 5-0 win over Bay Olympic who provided a great competitive game. Scoring was opened by some fierce attacking play, finished off nicely by Anna Ross.

The 2nd goal followed a few minutes later by Danielle (Diesel) Grimmer, and the third goal in the 1st half was scored by me (Holly Knowles). The second half started with more fierce attacking play from the Orca's which had the Bay Olympic girls firmly cemented in their own half, and some great teamwork saw Joyce O'Brian open the second half scoring. And after a dazzling display of passing down the length of the field, Kristy Attenberger finished off with a well-deserved Goal. Some great goal keeping by Kristy in the 1st half and our stand in goalkeeper (Me) in the second half, kept Bay Olympic scoreless. So this 5-0 result gives us 49 Goals for the season with 2 only against. Player of the day, Oh that would be .....ME! And battler of the day was Danielle, and special mention for putting her body on the line right up until the final whistle to Anna.
