10th Grade Wildcats: The Season So Far
Wednesday, 04 May 2011 21:28
After three very successful years playing in the Counties Manukau competition, The Wildcats are playing in the AFF Premier division, the only junior side in BMAFC to do so.
The team has pretty much been together since the 7th grade; but the majority of its players started in Mini League.
Just prior to the start of the season the Wildcats lost its star striker to injury and has struggled to score goals since.
They presently sit fifth on the ladder losing two games and winning and drawing the others.
They have played some great football this season and count themselves unlucky not to have won more games.
The standard of football the Wildcats are playing this year is far above that experienced in Counties Manukau and the team have adapted to this admirably.
Seven of its players are involved in the WYNRS training sessions either in Beachlands or in the City.
The Wildcats are looking forward to the remainder of the season and improving on their start to the season.
